MN Wild sportswriting returns

We are excited to bring back our spring Journalism Day at the Minnesota Wild on April 15 to see Wild vs Ducks.

The purpose of the event is to provide our students with exposure to different communications careers within the sports industry, as well as provide students with a real-life experience of covering a sporting event.

Here’s an overview of the experience: 

4:30 Facilities tour (including the press box)

5:00 Q & A with Wild staff (not players)

5:45 Dinner at Cossetta’s (this fee is NOT covered in the ticket price)

7:00 Students can watch and photograph a game 

Post game: Students will write an article or submit photos of the experience. Professionals will judge the submissions and award a winner. The Wild organization will provide a prize to the student journalist who wins the writing contest and the photography contest.

️ Apply HERE. There are limited spots available, so encourage your students to apply ASAP. Seats will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. The application is open until all spots fill or Feb. 28. Limit 2 students per school.

Cost: The cost is $50 per attendee, plus money for dinner at Cossetta’s. If you need an invoice sent to your school, please let me know.
