Best of Show contest

Scholastic media staffs from Minnesota with student staff members in attendance at the Minnesota High School Fall Journalism Convention may enter the Best of Show competition.

The cost is $15 per entry.

If you did not purchase Best of Show entries when registering for the conference, payment must be made at the conference registration site. 

There are six different Best of Show competitions for print and digital student media:

 

SUBMIT BROADCAST

Entries consist of a single broadcast news program aired during the current school year and submitted as a URL link. (YouTube or Vimeo). The news program must be housed on a site or channel owned a school student media outlet and not a personal site or channel. 

 

SUBMIT MAGAZINE

The most current issue of the school’s literary arts or feature magazine should be entered by uploading a PDF file or providing a URL link (Issuu).

 

SUBMIT NEWSPAPER

Enter one regular newspaper issue published during the current school year by uploading a PDF file or providing a URL link (Issuu).

 

SUBMIT WEBSITE

An online news website actively updated during the current school year should be entered by providing a URL link.

 

SUBMIT YEABOOK

The 2020 yearbook should be entered by uploading a PDF file or providing a URL link (Issuu). Print yearbooks may also be submitted and should arrive no later than Oct. 2 to the following address:
