We are excited to bring back our spring Journalism Day at the Minnesota Wild! We have been working with our connections with the Minnesota Wild to bring our journalists a fun and engaging event coming up on April 15: Minnesota vs. Ducks.
The purpose of the event is to provide our students with exposure to different communications careers within the sports industry, as well as provide students real-life experience of covering a sporting event.
Here’s an overview of the 2025 experience:
Facilities tour (including the press box)
Q & A with Wild staff (not players)
Dinner at Cossetta’s (this fee is NOT covered in the ticket price)
Students report on and photograph a game
Post game: Students will write an article or submit photos of the experience. Professionals will judge the submissions and award a winner. The Wild organization will provide a prize to the student journalist who wins the writing contest and the photography contest.
Limit 2 students per school.
